The Australian Rugby League Commission announced that the NRL grand final<\/a> would take place in New South Wales this year and at Sydney’s Accor Stadium in October.<\/p>\n

However, the long-term venue of the event is still up in the air. Peter V’landys, chair of the ARLC, has advocated a Super Bowl-style concept where the game might be carried around the nation to the best bidder.<\/p>\n

Even though Dominic Perrottet<\/a>, the premier of NSW, acknowledged that his state’s bid could not compare to Queensland’s, the commission on Thursday accepted the NSW government’s last pitch to host this year’s game on October 2.<\/p>\n
