The people of Sydney<\/a> are facing a huge increase in rent due to the housing shortage situation and increased immigration from the neighbouring countries. This is turning into a rental crisis and is getting worse day by day.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s influx of tenants from overseas leading to an increased demand for housing. The demand is more than the availability of the resource which is causing a real property crisis in Sydney. The housing shortage and large amount of immigration are causing a huge rental spike. This rental crisis is getting worse day by day.<\/p>\n

Figures were released by the officials showing that tenants in July had nearly half as many rentals to choose from as those a year a ago and the landlords are taking advantage of the situation by increasing the rental prices.<\/p>\n

The average rent in Sydney is now $645 per week. The reintroduction of international migration following nearly two years of border closures, according to Louis Christopher, head of SQM Research, was a major factor in rental hikes.
