TEENAGER CHARGED WITH MURDER

Overview

Eighth adolescent charged with murder following horrific death of 16-year-old in Melbourne. He was detained at Melbourne Airport and charged in connection with the killing of a second teen boy in Melbourne’s north.

After 16-year-old Declan Cutler was fatally beaten and stabbed in Reservoir on March 13, the 17-year-old is the seventh adolescent to be charged with murder.

The adolescent was detained at Melbourne Airport this morning, and a children’s court hearing is scheduled for this afternoon.

Declan Cutler, 16, died after what police called “one of the most savage and brutal attacks” they had ever witnessed.

According to prior reports from the police, Declan and his buddies had just left a home party when they were pursued by a dark automobile with several persons inside.

At around 2.30 in the morning, Declan was allegedly attacked on the street after being separated from his pals.

Declan was given medical attention and police protection, but he passed away there.

Six teenagers were charged with murder in connection with the incident in March, including a 17-year-old boy from Taylors Hill, a 17-year-old boy from Tarneit, a 15-year-old boy from Hoppers Crossing, a 16-year-old boy from Yarraville, a 14-year-old boy from Meadow Heights, and a 13-year-old boy from Meadow Heights.

In April, a 17-year-old male teen was also accused of murder.

Months after a 16-year-old was reportedly hunted down and attacked outside of a Melbourne house party, an eighth youngster has been charged with murder. At the Melbourne Airport, homicide investigators apprehended the child and took him into custody early on Wednesday. In September, the case is scheduled to return to court. Due of their age, the accused cannot be named.
