02. Jallikattu

Jallikattu sets up in a remote village where a buffalo escape results in a rampage, and soon the whole population of that village gets involved in a maniac buffalo hunt. The director tried to show the chaos that a human can create while showcasing men vs beasts. Jallikattu depicted the reaction of society against a perceived threat, and at the end of the movie the whole village was destroyed, not because of the bull but due to the aggression of locals.


03. Drishyam 2

Drishyam 2 (starring– Mohanlal) is set 6 years into the time from Drishyam (2013) and follows the life of Georgekutty’s family while shedding light on issues that almost tear up the family. Now they live a more prosperous life, with Georgekutty owning his own movie theater. But their past never left them, they still feel the weight and guilt over Varun’s murder, and even though Georgekutty has always been 5 steps ahead of the police, will he still be able to protect his family?


04. C U soon

Cast: Fahadh Faasil, Roshan Mathew, Darshana Rajendran

C U Soon is India’s first movie that is set on a computer screen, it narrates the story of two strangers (Jimmy Kurien and Anu Sebastian) who met each other through an online dating site. Soon after they develop feelings for each other, but there are secrets that are kept and Anu’s life isn’t how it seems. Overall the whole movie is crisp and engaging, with the perfect balance of romance, drama, and thrill.


05. Lucifer

Another great movie where we see a fabulous performance by Mohanlal, he played the lead role of Lucifer. The whole movie revolves around political power; the sudden death of a political Godfather brings prospects who wish to gain his power but the question is who will emerge as the most deserving replacement.
