Jay Dabgar. He brings rich traditional Indian music with him providing
lessons over Victoria (Narre Warren, Richmond, Hoppers Crossing, Epping,
Melbourne CBD and Glen Waverley).
Melbourne School of Indian Music provides lessons in Tabla, Pakhawaj, Dholak, Dhol, Harmonium, Guitar and singing.

Dabgar hails from a musically inclined family in India, and has
procured systematic training of playing Tabla since the age of 4 from
Shri Divyang Vakil (prominent student of late Ustad All Rakha), Late Pt.
Nandan Mehta (disciple of great tabla maestro late pt Kishan Maharaj)
and Pt Pooran Maharaj (deciple and son of late Pt Kishan Maharaj). With
25 years of dedication, including numerous awards and accolades in
India, he moved to Austtralia in 2006, where he has become one of
Australia's leading exponents of Indian percussion. He regularly
performs with local and touring artists, and has toured nationally and
internationally, performing in respectable festivals and concerts.
