Taj Indian Restaurant Burnside was founded in the quaint town of Nambour on the Sunshine Coast, quietly tucked away in the serene surroundings of Coes Creek road by award winning head chef and owner Shaikh Akbar Ali in 2011. Taj’s principal philosophy focuses on providing great flavour without compromising any quality, a skill that has been mastered here in our very own kitchen. Head chef Akbar Ali strives to bring his knowledge and experience of 35 years in the restaurant industry, as well as his experiences working in restaurants back in his native India to the more contemporary settings of Singapore and Australia to the plates of each and every diner here at Taj.
