200+ Occupations Added In Skilled Migration Program by WA

Two hundred plus occupations were added to the skilled migration program, and Western Australia reduced English and Funds requirements. In addition, they have changed the standards and waived the $200 application cost.

To assist talented professionals seeking to immigrate to Western Australia, the state government has announced improvements to its immigration programme, including a 60 percent increase in the number of occupations that qualify.

Both Schedule 1 of the Western Australian Skilled Migration Occupation List (WASMOL Schedule 1) and Schedule 2 of the Western Australian Skilled Migration Occupation List (WASMOL Schedule 2) now include new occupations.

The $200 application fee has also been removed, and as of July 1, 2022, the following requirements will no longer apply to new applicants:

● The elimination of the need to show that a candidate for WA State has enough funds
● Reduction of the “competent” level of English proficiency criterion for candidates for Manager and Professional occupations.
