The festival is bringing several internationally acclaimed films to the city, including Joyland, the Cannes Jury Prize Winner, which explores a family dealing with gender, identity, love, and individuality under patriarchal pressure. The festival is screening an impressive 100 films in 25 languages over eight days.

Other films set to screen at the IFFM (Indian Film Festival of Melbourne) are:
- Ayena, which follows the aftermath of the two acid attack survivors.
- Fairy Folk, in which a genderless collective is gate-crashed by a tired and unhappy couple looking for meaning.
- Dug Dug, a satirical study of religion, mythology and cultural reverence by debut director Ritwik Pareek.
The IFFM (Indian Film Festival of Melbourne) will show movies in theatres throughout Melbourne and free on its internet platform, allowing lovers of Indian cinema to watch from anywhere.
Samantha Prabhu, Abhishek Bachchan, and Tamannaah Bhatia, three of the biggest names in Indian cinema, will also make appearances at the IFFM (Indian Film Festival of Melbourne).
The festival will also feature several events, such as the IFFM Dance Competition, an annual awards ceremony, a speaker series, and the traditional flag-hoisting ceremony to commemorate India’s Independence Day.
