As part of a significant training initiative unveiled at the government’s jobs and skills summit, an additional 180,000 fee-free TAFE places will be established by 2023.
The $1.1 billion package, according to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, will be jointly funded by the federal, state, and territorial governments, he told summit attendees on Thursday.
According to him, Australians needed to develop the abilities necessary to land decent jobs.
He continued the development we observed on skills over the next two days, “should be the beginning, not the conclusion.”
Viewpoint Of Treasurer Jim Chalmers
According to Treasurer Jim Chalmers, the issues facing the economy are “generally acknowledged and agreed upon” and include migration settings and outdated bargaining regulations.
He added that he wanted to see higher pay in addition to higher profits.
In his introductory statement, Dr. Chalmers urged “rising profits and rising wages, not rising profits or rising wages.”
Over the two days of the conference, he pushed participants to work together.
“All of us came in this morning with various experiences, viewpoints, and goals, but we all shared the same goal of creating a larger, better-trained, and more effective staff,” he continued.
