The Indian minister of education has invited TAFEs and universities to establish campuses there.
Additionally, two effective programmes that will advance international research cooperation and highlight the superior research capabilities of Australia and India were introduced.
To work together on education and skill-development projects between the two countries, the education ministers from Australia and India met bilaterally in Sydney.

Meeting That Took Place
As part of the Australian India Education Council (AIEC), the Indian Minister of Education and Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan, met with his Australian counterpart, Jason Clare MP, at Western Sydney University’s Parramatta City Campus.
The Australian Researcher Cooperation Hub-India (ARCH-India) and the Australia India Research Students Fellowship (AIRS Fellowship) programme are two historical efforts that will promote bilateral research cooperation and highlight the superior research capabilities of India and Australia.

The issue of Indian students’ waiting visas for continued study in Australia was also brought up by Minister Pradhan.
