Description:
Dr Mario Malkoun is an Illawarra-based General Surgeon who has undertaken significant minimally-invasive laparoscopic and robotic ("keyhole") surgical training. He also provides Endoscopy (colonoscopy and gastroscopy) and a range of skin surgeries which can be done in the clinic or in the hospital. Dr Malkoun also provides non-surgical weight loss solutions like a gastric balloon which can be swallowed without the need for an anaesthetic or a trip to hospital. After growing up in Sydney, Dr Malkoun completed his undergraduate medical science degree at Sydney University and gained his Honours degree through the Westmead Millennium Institute in human genetics using DNA Microarray, which was a new technology at the time. He undertook his graduate medical degree at the University of Queensland and graduated with an MBBS in 2004.
