Important Notes:
- Holiday Act 1983 says, that extra public holiday will be added if new year, Christmas day, or boxing day falls on weekend. New year’s day falls on Sunday, hence the following Monday is also added as an additional public holiday.
- Ekka holiday is also known as Brisbane show day, meant only for people living and working in Brisbane City.
- Christmas Eve is a half public holiday, from 7 PM -12 midnight.
