Young Queenslanders will have access to free TAFE and free apprenticeships until June 2023, according to Premier of Queensland Annastacia Palaszczuk.
“This will provide young people access to 26 free TAFE programmes and 139 free apprenticeship programmes,” Palaszczuk stated in a tweet.
Due to the extension, Queensland residents under the age of 25 can apply for 139 free apprenticeship programmes and 26 free TAFE courses until June 30, 2023.
Assistance To Young People
According to the Queensland government, the unemployment rate in Queensland is 3.8%, and this programme to provide free TAFE and apprenticeships for people under 25 has already assisted 56,000 Queenslanders in obtaining the skills and training that employers appreciate.

An additional $21 million has been invested in this initiative to give young people access to free certificate III TAFE courses in various specialties.
