On June 17, Drake launched his brand-new album, Honestly, Nevermind. On his debut as a radio show host, Drake sang some of his favourite songs, including two by Sidhu Moose Wala, in his new show Table for One. By playing the late Punjabi singer-songs rapper 295 and G-Shit, the rapper paid tribute to him. On Instagram, Drake also followed Sidhu.
On May 29, Sidhu was fatally shot in Punjab’s Mansa district. Drake expressed his condolences in the wake of Sidhu’s passing and posted a photo of Sidhu and his mother on his Instagram story. “RIP Moose,” he inscribed.
Fans of the two artists shared Drake’s tribute to Sidhu on various social media platforms. They were upset that the two singers could not collaborate on any song.
Fan’s Reaction
On social media, Sidhu Moose Wala supporters responded to Drake’s most recent gesture. One user commented, “Legends never die,” on Instagram fan accounts that had posted the news of the rapper performing Sidhu’s songs. “Thanks for this drake!” another user wrote.
“Wow, this is monumental,” one fan said in response. Many more just placed the word “legend” or the emojis “heart on fire” on the posts.
